Places to Love: Sunnybrook Meadows

September 30, 2008 by

Looking for a place to call home in Sandy Springs but you want a modest sized and modest priced home?  Then Sunnybrook Meadows subdivision may be a place to love!

Located just a few feet from the bustling intersection of widely-known Roswell Rd. & Abernathy (where Aldo’s Italian Restaurant, Nori Nori Japanese Sushi & Seafood Buffet, and Gwinnett College’s newest office is located), Sunnybrook Meadows offers you the charm of Sandy Springs in a more established real estate community, with mostly ranches built in the 1950s – 1980s as the homes of choice.  However, as pictured to the left, there are a few newer, more traditional homes springing up.

Places To Love: Spalding Woods

Relocating to the Metro Atlanta Area?  Well, then definitely consider making Sandy Springs’ Spalding Woods subdivision home!  As you drive along the serene tree-lined streets, it is easy to feel at home as you see the neighbors’ friendly interactions, the various college football flags waving proudly, and the well-manicured lawns (especially the home that has been awarded the coveted ’Yard of the Month’ sign).

Although this subdivision is close to one of Metro Atlanta’s busiest streets, Roswell Rd., you have the ease of access to Roswell Rd.’s shops and entertainment venues but the noise and congestion of Roswell Rd. will not bother you once in this community of spacious real estate lots and homes.

Places to Love: Mount Vernon Woods

September 17, 2008 by

Live in one of the most historic subdivisions in Sandy Springs – Mount Vernon Woods.  The charming real estate located between Abernathy & Mount Vernon Hwy and Roswell Rd. & Glenridge ranges in age from homes built in the early 20th century (meaning you have more land to roam on!) to homes that are currently under construction.

Whatever suits your fancy you can most likely find it in Mount Vernon Woods – from estates valued at over $1 Million to sensible ranches at $255,000.   The current homes on the market range in price from $255,000 to $999,900 and feature 3-5 bedrooms with 2 – 7 bathrooms having been built between 1952 through 2008.

Speed It Up, Roswell Rd.!

August 26, 2008 by

If you have ever had the unfortunate experience of being on Roswell Rd. during rush-hour traffic, lunch-time traffic, after-school traffic, evening traffic, weekend traffic, or at any other time, you are quite accustomed to the slowness of the commute and the seemingly constant accidents.  But thankfully there is a plan to rectify this treacherous traffic!

Join the Sandy Springs/Perimeter Chamber of Commerce (http://www.sandyspringsperimeterchamber.com) on Monday, September 15 at the Westin Atlanta North for the Chamber’s next Bagels & Business meeting to get an update on the City’s Comprehensive Transportation Plan.  Bagels & Business begins at 7:30 a.m.  This event is free for Chamber members and $15 for guests. RSVPs may be sent to meri@sandysprings.org.

Places to Love: City Walk Heights

August 20, 2008 by

Live in the lap of Sandy Springs’ luxury in one of the premier gated townhomes of City Walk Heights.  These beautiful homes are prime real estate located in the heart of Sandy Springs near the intersection of Hammond Rd. & Roswell Rd. situated behind the Kroger shopping complex.  I recently previewed this community from a buyer’s perspective so here is my take…

Places to Love: Glenridge Close Subdivision

August 13, 2008 by

If you love the charm and character of Sandy Springs, one of metro Atlanta’s most thriving, trendiest communities, then Glenridge Close is a subdivision to note.

This nice, established community, setback off Glenridge Drive, contains traditional, 2 story homes built in the early 1990s.  Real estate in the Glenridge Close subdivision has sold in the mid- to high $400,000 and typically contain 3-4 bedrooms with 2.5 bathrooms.  It is just minutes from GA 400, I-285, Perimeter Mall and Roswell Rd. all where great shopping and dining awaits you.

As I drove through the Glenridge Close community, it was nice to receive friendly waves and to see neighbors engaged in conversation while tending their well-manicured lawns.

Places to Love: Sandy Springs’ Ferry Heights Subdivision

August 11, 2008 by

Looking for some European flair in the heart of the south?  Well, then explore the gorgeous real estate in Sandy Springs’ Ferry Heights subdivision, located at the intersection of Johnson Ferry Rd. and Roswell Rd.  As a buyer, I love that the homes are in various stages of construction so I can find a fairly new home that still is customizable or I can find a well-established home that is move-in ready.  I also love that these real estate properties contain up to 6 bedrooms and 5.5 baths, and many sit on close to 1 acre of land.  Unfortunately, this is not a subdivision with a community swim or tennis facility but I digress.
